How Customers Book a Table
Step 1 - Customer Opens Your Reservation Page
They visit your restaurant’s reservation page, fill in their name, email, phone, date, number of guests, and duration. Only real available time slots are shown based on your opening hours
Step 2 - Selects Time and Confirms
The customer picks an available time slot, adds their occasion and special requests, then pays the reservation deposit online. Card payment is processed instantly and securely through Stripe
Step 3 - Instant Confirmation
The booking is confirmed immediately and the customer receives details by email. The reservation appears in MiDASH and syncs to MiPOS automatically with no manual entry needed
MiPOS Finds the Right Table — Automatically
When a customer makes a reservation, the system does more than record the booking. It checks available tables, existing reservations, party size, and seating capacity to automatically assign the most suitable table. For larger groups, it can also combine available tables when needed. This saves staff time and removes the need to manually decide where each reservation should be seated

Every restaurant works differently. Set the confirmation type that suits your restaurant table reservation process — choose from Instant, SMS, or No Confirmation directly from your MiDASH settings
Instant Confirmation
Customer books and pays the reservation deposit online. Table is confirmed and reserved immediately — no staff action needed. Best for busy restaurants that want a fully automated booking process
SMS Confirmation
Customer calls to reserve a table — staff take the booking and send a payment link via SMS. Customer pays the deposit through the link and receives confirmation. Best for restaurants that prefer phone bookings but still want deposit payment secured
No Confirmation Required
Customer books the table with no deposit or payment needed. Booking is recorded and confirmed automatically. Best for casual dining or low-volume periods where a deposit isn’t necessary
Special Reservations — Different Rules for Your Busiest Days
Not every day needs the same booking rules. Create special reservation dates for occasions like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and other busy events, with custom booking requirements for each date.
Keep regular days simple and free to book, while adding the right requirements for high-demand dates. Set a reservation fee as a fixed amount per booking or based on the number of guests. The booking page automatically recognizes special dates and applies the correct payment rules, so staff don’t need to make manual changes.

Full list of all bookings for the day — customer name, seats, assigned or combined tables, start and end time, payment amount, method, and status. Pending bookings show a live timer. Export CSV or print A4 for your team
Add Reservation Manually
Staff can add a reservation directly from MiDASH at any time — useful for phone bookings, walk in pre bookings, or last minute requests. MiPOS automatically assigns the right table for manually added bookings too
Customize Your Booking Rules
Booking Window
Set how far ahead customers can book online. Choose a 14-day, 30-day, or custom window, and available dates within that period will appear on the booking page online
Maximum Party Size
Set the maximum number of guests for bookings. Larger groups can contact the restaurant directly, giving staff more control over group reservations and table seating
Minimum Booking Notice
Set how many hours in advance customers must book. This helps prevent last-minute reservations and gives staff more time to prepare for busy service periods each day
Payment Link Hold
Set how many minutes one table is held while the customer completes payment by SMS. If payment is not completed, the table is automatically released for new bookings
